RedFusion Media FTP/Hosting Policy

15 Nov 2007 In: RedFusion

We take web server health and security seriously. As a matter of policy, we do not allow outside vendors, webmasters, or users any access to our FTP services on our core servers. This is because the most vulnerable part of any web server is the programmed code that is implemented for web applications.

Occasionally, on a case by case basis, we will grant access to our servers. However, this action may result in our moving your site or resources to another less secure server, or to an outside hosting location.

June 18, 2007, REDLANDS, CA - The California Welcome Center in San Bernardino is impacting the very competitive tourism market. RedFusion Media’s partnership with the Center makes getting information easy. Now, visitors to the area can easily access information online through the custom-built, Internet-powered kiosk.

RedFusion Media, a local web design and Internet marketing company located in Redlands, built the kiosk for the center, which includes multiple computers and a print station, giving CWC visitors access to Inland Empire attractions, hotels, restaurants, and recreational opportunities. Content is also shared with the center from the InlandEmpire.US local directory, which is owned and maintained by RedFusion Media. This use of technology represents a growing trend using the Internet to deliver digital “rich” media to screens anywhere.

“Internet Marketing includes placing media in kiosks, on billboards, and smaller street and in store displays. These displays can be easily changed from a remote location. RedFusion Media is able to control and update the Welcome Center kiosk in San Bernardino from our offices in Redlands. This is a very effective way to manage advertising messages,” says Jon Burgess, Internet Manager at RedFusion Media.

According to statewide surveys, provided by Certified Folder Display Service, Inc., a welcome center near a major California highway has potential to regionally draw 100,000 domestic and international visitors annually. Studies also indicate that 66 percent of travelers visit a welcome center after identifying the state’s traveling bear logo on Interstate signage. The California Welcome Center is centrally located on 1955 Hunts Lane, just north of the I-10/215 freeway interchange near Hospitality Lane. Welcome Center visitors will find that it is easy to navigate the information kiosk, so they can better explore the Inland Empire area and all its amenities, and print any information they need for their travels.

RedFusion Media is delighted to partner with the Welcome Center to provide the Internet technology and content for this terrific project, states Ron Burgess, president. We strongly support all efforts to communicate the region’s assets to California and the region.

RedFusion Media is the Inland Empire’s leading web design and content management firm, ranked in May 2007 by the Business Press as the number one web firm in the region. Located in Redlands, the company has hundreds of web clients in the Inland Empire and other states. RedFusion Media also maintains a regional network of directory sites at InlandEmpire.US, for local information and links. The firm’s clients include companies, municipalities, non-profits, schools, and museums. For more information visit http://www.RedFusionMedia.com.

Network Connectivity Alert

10 May 2007 In: Uncategorized

We experienced network issues at one of our data facilities on Thursday the 10th of May, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The data facilities would have affected about 20% of RedFusion Media hosting clients, and would have specifically prevented viewing the website or connecting to the mail servers. These network issues were related to a back-bone provider and the switching that connected the data center to the world. At this point the switches have been replaced and service has been restored.

I apologize for any problems this may have caused,

Jon Burgess, Internet Manager

Local Target Marketing Results

24 Apr 2007 In: Uncategorized

We have had a great response to the start of our Local Target Marketing service, with increasing clicks and decreasing costs. Within only a few months we have hard data to show that our clients’ campaigns are increasing in clicks while lower their cost-per-click.

One of the benefits that sets our service apart from other pay-per-click programs is that it tries to find the “sweet spot” in the bidding position. That means that at the end of each month’s campaign, the system removes bad keyword combinations while shifting the bidding value to good keyword campaigns. The result, more clicks for lower bids.

We have created some real data, from actual clients, to show the increase in clicks for the month and the decrease in cost-per-click.

In this first graph, we have the results of nine companies’ number of clicks in a month. This shows that the optimization of the individual campaigns will remove keyword combinations that don’t work.

Across the board, all of the clients increased the click amount from month one to month two. One of the more dramatic changes was the increase in the “Contractor’s” campaign, with 352 hits in the first month, and 480 hits in the second, a 27% increase.

The second graph shows the cost-per-click results per month. Again in all cases the cost-per-click went down from month one to month two.

You will see that the “Marketing” company showed a dramatic lowing in costs over the four months it has run, from $4.00, to $3.64, to $2.94, to $2.60, which is a 35% decrease over that period.

Local Target Marketing is a service of RedFusion Media. To find out more go to www.localtargetmarketing.com or www.redfusionmedia.com. Jon Burgess is the Internet Manager for RedFusion Media and has 8 years of design, online marketing, SEO, and pay-per-click experience.
